Choir members improvised verbal elements of the actions notated on the score. Each choir member had a different score. Vertical axis represents intensity of action to be performed. Horizonal axis represents length of time action is to be performed.
Conductor signified each new minute with the ring of a bell. Conductor also had three options:
1) dynamics
2) transient cards (ALL LAUGH sign, ALL CHEER sign, and ALL QUIET EXCEPT sign to highlight a particular action by a group)
3) KICK OUT card (to remove someone from the choir if necessary)
